BACKGROUND

Peter began his journey in the security industry at nineteen, working as a nightclub security guard in Melbourne. This experience provided valuable insight into real-world confrontations and helped him identify which techniques are effective under pressure and which methods fail in genuine situations.

A lifelong martial artist, Peter started training at the age of thirteen and achieved his first black belt at sixteen. Over the decades, he has continued to refine his skills, study different combat systems, and develop a practical approach to self defence training in Melbourne that focuses on effectiveness, adaptability, and confidence.

Peter has been personally mentored by Hock Hochheim, a former U.S. military and law enforcement veteran and internationally respected street combat instructor. Under Hock Hochheim’s guidance, Peter has been recognised as one of his most skilled instructors and became a member of the Elite Black Belt Instructors.

With more than three decades of combat experience, Peter has developed a structured teaching method that helps students build both physical capability and mental confidence. His approach is designed for all experience levels, from complete beginners attending self defence classes in Melbourne to experienced martial artists looking to improve their skills.

Peter was the first Australian invited to teach combat training at the UFC Gym in California. He has also provided training for members of Victoria Police, the Australian Defence Force, and professionals working in the security industry, bringing a unique level of expertise to his Melbourne self defence instructor role.
